Bracers
Currently i'm wearing [Bracers of the Autumn Willow] reason being for trying to stay above the haste cap without [Celestial Focus] (856 haste needed) so I can keep my 11/0/60 spec and have a one second GCD.
My only leather options from ICC are [Bracers of Eternal Dreaming] from 25 man (Valithria) and [Wrists of Septic Shock] from 10 man (Festergut). For one crit can be useful to resto druids under certain circumstances like having [Living Seed]. Another thing is if I took these I would have to go back to my old celestial focus spec which doesn't have living seed in it, rendering crit to be wasted for the most part.
There's bracers with haste in ICC 10 man, but it's cloth and has hit on it: [Ether-Soaked Bracers]. The goal for going for more haste in my gear is so that I can replace all of my [Reckless Ametrine] with [Runed Cardinal Ruby] since spell power is our top stat as a resto druid. With that being said i'll move onto my point of this topic.
As you know when 3.3.5 comes out so does a new raid instance - Ruby Sanctum. In the 25 man version there's 2 sets of bracers that drop 25 man Halion: [Phaseshifter's Bracers] and [Bracers of Fiery Night].
They both have the same amount base stats (same stam and int) and have the same amount of spell power. The leather bracers has a yellow socket while the cloth ones have a red socket (the red socket is highly preferred for me since I only gem reckless where i'd get 7+ spell power socket bonuses if I need haste). The leather bracers have 56 haste (1 less than my current bracers), 104 spell power (5 spell power from my current, counting the 8 spell power from spirit due to imp tree form), and 64 crit rating. It's an upgrade from my togc bracers, but I would like to have a little more haste than my current if I have to sacrifice some regen.
The major differences between the cloth and leather bracers from Ruby Sanctum are:
Cloth: less crit than leather, more haste than leather, red socket
The cloth bracers have 64 haste (7 from current) and I would get more spell power, therefore it benefits me the most.
[Bracers of Fiery Night] and [Ether-Soaked Bracers] comparison if needed.
[Bracers of Fiery Night] Gains - 4 int, 4 stam, 4 armor, 56(1.22%) crit, and 7 spell power.
[Ether-Soaked Bracers] Gains - 5(.15) haste and 38 hit
Yes, Ether-Soaked has more haste but not enough to compensate for all the other stats I gain from using Fiery Night.So tl;dr [Bracers of Fiery Night] is better for me than [Phaseshifter's Bracers]. Yes, there's crit on it, but as i've stated crit is useful to me due to me having [Living Seed]. My goal is to get as much spell power as I can while staying haste capped without [Celestial Focus].
