Leveling guide is out!

I finally finished my resto druid leveling guide i've been working on for the past few days so be sure to check that out! Feedback is welcomed and appreciated . :D

Quote from Ghostcrawler concerning Tree of Life movement reduction:

The speed reduction thing is something we're trying again. We know it's going to be controversial and it's possible it won't stick. We really want the ability to be used at the right time, not just on cooldown. There has to be a wrong time to use it. In PvP, we want there to be a way to counter the druid, especially given that the built-in crowd control is gone. The other consideration is that we plan on getting a new model that looks more like an ancient and less like a treant, so moving slower might fit.
I dunno if I like the speed reduction still. Other healers don't have to sacrifice anything while popping their cooldowns so why should we? I guess the duration for our new ToL is long so that could possibly be a reason.

Another thing that interests me is keeping up lifebloom stacks with nourish. Keeping up lifebloom will increase possibilities for getting mana back from the new revitalize. Maybe [Glyph of Lifebloom] will prove to be useful in Cataclysm?

Are there any classes out there looking foward to the changes in Cataclysm? Also what are other trees thinking about the 50% speed reduction from the ToL cd, PvP or PvE wise?

  1. I don't have too much of a problem with the snare effect on ToL, although I think 30% would be more appropriate than 50%. I like that we'll have to think about when to use it. I don't think it's the end of the world like some other druids do. Slow doesn't mean stop - we can still move out of bad things, our reaction time will just need to be better.

However, I have a feeling that the snare idea will be rethought before Cataclysm comes out.

  2. Yeah, I hope so! 50% seems a bit much. >_< Guess we'll just have to wait for Cata and see. =)
